PKE Meter ver5
Version 5 of my line of PKE Meters is another "cactus" build incorporating a design that invokes the Real Ghostbusters style with a "real world" look and feel. The ends of the scanning arms light up red and pulse and flash with the color changing LED behind the main viewscreen. The knobs on the main body turn. A clip on the back attaches the PKE to your belt and the rear casing is easily unscrewed to access the 9volt that powers the lights. The decals are custom designed in Photoshop and printed on quality vinyl.
Paints used:
- Krylon Fusion Primer
- Krylon Fusion Satin Black
- Tamiya Acrylic Clear Red
- Tamiya Acrylic Flat Black
- Tamiya Acrylic Chrome Silver
- Spaz Stix Mirror Chrome
First everything was primed with Primer, then a basecoat of Satin Black. Next, Flat Black was airbrushed on. Chrome Silver was drybrushed on for weathering. The scanning arms and elbows were painted with Mirror Chrome, with Clear Red airbrushed over that on the actual arms. The entire assembly was then sealed with an Acrylic Sealer.
