Mini PKE Meter ver3
Version 3 of my Mini PKE line was a custom commission I did with some changes to the overall build. The scanning arms are now a glossy candy red and I found some great little knobs (which turn) to use on the front. The ends of the scanning arms light up red and pulse and flash with the color changing LED behind the viewscreen. The decals are designed in Photoshop and printed on quality vinyl. So far the person who commissioned this piece has not gotten back to me so it is currently being used by my wife who loves the small size...
Paints used:
- Krylon Flat Black
- Krylon Chrome Aluminum
- Tamiya Acrylic Clear Red
- Tamiya Acrylic Chrome Silver
First a basecoat of Flat Black for the entire build. The scanning arms were then hit with Chrome Silver and then a layer of Clear Red. They were then dipped in Future Floor Polish and allowed to dry. Chrome Silver was used drybrushed on and artist's chaulk brushed into the corners for weathering.
