Mini PKE Meter

For my latest PKE Meter I decided to scale things down... literally. This is my first Mini PKE, about half the size of a normal hand-held scanner. It's ideal for people with smaller hands. It's already gotten a great reaction from girls who think it's adorable and kids who have an easier time holding it than the adult sized equipment. The blue scanning antennas light up and pulse and flash with the color changing LED behind the main viewscreen. All of the lights run off of a 9volt battery which comes installed and is easily changed by unscrewing the panel on the back. A clip on the back attaches the PKE to your belt. The decals are custom designed in Photoshop and printed on quality vinyl.

Paints used:
- Krylon Ultra Flat Black
- Krylon Metallic Brilliant Silver
- Tamiya Acrylic Chrome Silver

First everything was given a basecoat of Ultra Flat Black. Next, Brilliant Silver was used for the scanning arms. Chrome Silver was drybrushed on for weathering then the entire assembly was then sealed with an Acrylic Sealer. The PKE was then dusted with artist chaulk.
