Giga Meter

My first version of the Giga Meter from Ghostbusters 2! Featuring blue LEDs in the scanning antennas that pulse and flash in sequence with a color changing LED behind the viewscreen. And the lights in the clear dome spin and light in random patterns just like the movie prop! The antenna and viewscreen lights are controlled by the switch on the top of the handle and run off of a 9volt battery installed in the bottom of the prop body. The dome motor and lights are controlled by a tiny push button underneath the handle like a trigger and run off of 3 AAA batteries installed in the end of the handle. This allows you to light up the Giga Meter and spin the lights seperately as not to kill the batteries too quickly. Most of the graphics were custom designed in Photoshop and printed on vinyl and the others are from electronics surplus stores.

Paints used:
- Krylon Fusion Flat Black
- Krylon Chrome Aluminum
- Tamiya Acrylic Chrome Silver

First a basecoat of Flat Black, then Chrome Aluminum for the scanning antenna and faceplate. Chrome Silver was drybrushed on for a worn metal look.
