Extreme Ghostbusters
PKE Meter ver 2

My second version of the PKE Meter used in the Extreme Ghostbusters! This style is an attempt to capture the look of the Extreme PKE while giving it a real world, military type paint scheme and weathering. The result definately turns heads as this PKE was already shown off at Tampa Comic Con and received a lot of praise. The lighting system consists of two red LEDs in the ends of the scanning antennas and a fast color changing LED that lights the main screen. The effect is that the screen changes strobes different colors while the antenna lights pulse along, then all three flash together. The lights all run off of 4 AA batteries that are easily changed by removing the back cover. The labels are all custom designed in Photoshop and printed on vinyl (except the back label I didn't design that one). Also on the back is a small metal belt clip so you can easily attach the PKE to your belt. And finally, all of the knobs turn!

Paints used:
- Krylon Fusion Flat Black
- Krylon Metallic Brilliant Silver
- Tamiya Acrylic Clear Red
- Folkart Metallic Silver Sterling

First a basecoat of Flat Black was laid down. Then the scanning antenna were hit with Brilliant Silver, then Clear Red was used on the tubing that covers the antennas. Silver Sterling was drybrushed on for light weathering.
